We're currently looking for a Software Engineer who will work collaboratively within a fast-driven software development team. The position is open for a UK-based market leader whose purpose is to drive progress towards net-zero carbon living. What you’ll be doing
- Designing and developing new platform functionality, from inception to deployment
- Building on top of and integrating the existing estate
- Helping to refine and deliver work items across our Agile delivery process
- Contributing to efficiencies and improvements in Ways of Working
- Development of new features and improvements
- Adopting and contributing to the CI/CD pipeline and ways of working
- Delivering product value iteratively
- Ensuring best practices around observability and security
- Working closely with other developers to ensure knowledge-sharing
What we’ll expect from you
- Hands-on professional experience writing Node.js, React and TypeScript
- Experience using TDD principles and writing automated tests
- Awareness of CI/CD principles and pipelines
- Cloud engineering experience (AWS)
- Previous experience with Microservices / Serverless architecture
- Good understanding of IaC (Terraform/SST)
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and project delivery teams
- Proficiency with Event-driven architectures, RESTful interfaces, and SQL databases
- Input into Data Modelling
- Familiarity with Scala would be considered a plus
- Ability to collaborate on decision-making and technology choices
