TechPods is a UK-based technology co-sourcing company with offices in Bulgaria. We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team developing data entry applications and supporting pipelines for our in-house Operations personnel and field agents. Our team is responsible for back-end systems and improvements (built in Python and utilising AWS services and data stores) and applications used by our stakeholders (which can be React web front-ends or installed .NET applications). The successful candidate will contribute to our development as we aim to deliver smarter, more efficient and more reliable systems.

What you’ll be doing
- Join a high-functioning Agile team, working closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions
- Develop features and solve technical problems within the scope of your team’s sprint
- Often this will be as an individual contributor or pairing within the team; however, collaborating with Engineers and Architects from other teams is also important from time to time
- Help your team to deliver high-quality, reliable software via our code review and QA practices and contribute to the evolution of these over time
- Be part of a team that is building applications of emerging technologies like generative AI (Large Language Models) and advanced image processing to solve challenges more effectively
- Don’t just build it – ship it too. This team manages its own release infrastructure using self-service tools and DevOps best practices
- Collaborate actively in a self-organising, empowered team by contributing to technical decisions, sharing knowledge, and maintaining clear documentation that helps the team and stakeholders move forward with confidence
What we’ll expect from you
- Individuals who have 2-3 years of real-world software development experience gathered as part of a development team
- Developers who are confident with back-end development. Our team develops cloud services in Python and deploys them on AWS. We also support a suite of .NET applications used for key operations tasks
- Developers who are confident with front-end development. Some of our front-ends use React and Typescript
- Familiarity with AI code generation tools is a strong plus (Claude, Cursor, Github Copilot, Gemini or similar)
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) is a plus
- Candidates who are able to quickly pick up domain knowledge and effectively up-skill on technology topics where required
- Applicants who are keen to contribute to both new feature development and system reliability and performance improvements
