RoleDescription

TechPods is a UK-based technology co-sourcing company with offices in Bulgaria. Unlike traditional IT outsourcing companies, TechPods' fully transparent model enables companies to scale quickly, while mitigating risk and reducing costs. We strongly believe that traditional outsourcing is dead, and the key to long-term success lies in partnering, as opposed to a vendoring.

We're currently looking for a Senior Data DevOps Engineer who will work collaboratively within a fast-driven software development team and act as a key member of the Data and Analytics Team, working directly with various stakeholders from across the business, designing stable and reliable data repositories, proactively monitoring the company's existing reporting solutions and participating in the design and implementation of the associated data hub, storage and integration environments. The position is available within one of our well-established UK-based partners, which has been on the market for over 30 years, specialising in road safety and training solutions. As the company continues to grow through strategic acquisitions, it is pivoting into AI-driven technologies to enhance its offerings. The team develops core SaaS products, shapes the technological direction, and builds scalable solutions that make a difference.

If you think you could be the talent we’re looking for, then come and join the adventure!

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee ETL operations to ensure data from various sources is accurately transformed and loaded into the Kimball Star Schema Model
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and profiling techniques to maintain high data integrity

What we’ll expect from you

  • Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
  • Build and manage IaC using Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation
  • Automate cloud provisioning and configuration (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Work closely with stakeholders to improve software delivery, deployment and monitoring processes
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to align infrastructure with business goals
  • SQL is second nature to you
  • You are an expert with general data warehousing concepts
  • You’ve worked on a wide range of Data Warehouse problems - regulatory reporting, Business Intelligence, financial reporting projects and supporting Machine Learning
  • Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • In-depth understanding of data governance and management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)

Our Technology Stack

  • DevOps tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD tools)
  • Scripting/automation via PowerShell, Bash, Python
  • Networking, security, and system architecture
